A four-night, five-day taste of Bhutan on the Minimum Daily Package tariff, moving quickly from Thimphu to Punakha and back to Paro for the Taktsang hike. It's a compact way to see the capital's dzongs, the Punakha valley and the Tiger's Nest without a long trip.
Paro → Thimphu → Punakha/Wangdue → Paro.
Arrival and immigration in Paro, then a transfer to Thimphu and a stroll around the city in the evening.
Morning sightseeing at Tashichhoedzong, the National Library, the Arts & Crafts School and the Memorial Chorten, then drive to Punakha over Dochula Pass (3,080m).
Visit Punakha Dzong and Wangduephodrang's dzong and market, then continue to Paro via Simtokha Dzong, Bhutan's oldest fortress.
Hike to Taktsang Monastery (Tiger's Nest), then visit Ta Dzong (the National Museum) and walk down to Rinpung Dzong.
Transfer to Paro International Airport for your onward flight.
