Kathmandu and Pokhara are Nepal's two biggest tourism draws, paired into one eight-day loop: a full day of Kathmandu Valley heritage sites, a scenic drive to lakeside Pokhara, sunrise over the Annapurnas from Sarangkot, and an optional day-hike (or heli tour, paragliding or bungee) to Australian Base Camp above Pokhara before returning to Kathmandu.
Kathmandu → Pokhara → Australian Base Camp → Dhampus → Pokhara → Kathmandu.
A Himanshu Tours representative meets you at Tribhuvan International Airport and transfers you to the hotel, followed by a short trip briefing.
A full day visiting Boudhanath Stupa, the sacred Hindu temple complex of Pashupatinath on the Bagmati River, the hilltop Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple), and the historic city squares of Bhaktapur and Patan.
A 5–6 hour drive to Pokhara on the banks of Phewa Lake, followed by an evening walk along the lakeshore and a boat trip to the Varahi Mandir island temple, then dinner at a lakeside restaurant with live music.
A pre-dawn trip to Sarangkot (1,592m) for sunrise over the Machhapuchhre, Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges, followed by visits to the World Peace Pagoda, Devi's Falls and the Gupteshwor Mahadev cave, and a Buddhist monastery in the evening.
A free morning for an optional helicopter tour to Annapurna Base Camp, paragliding or bungee jumping, before driving to Kande (1,750m) and trekking roughly 1.5 hours up to Australian Base Camp for an outdoor BBQ dinner.
An hour's forest hike down to Dhampus village, then a drive back to Pokhara for lunch and a free afternoon in the city.
A scenic drive back to Kathmandu, arriving in the evening.
A Himanshu Tours representative drops you at the airport ahead of your onward flight.
