Nepal is famous for mountains, but the real soul of Nepal lives in its villages. The Nepal Heritage & Authentic Homestay Trail is a specially designed 9-day cultural journey by HimanshuTours that takes you beyond the tourist trails of Kathmandu and Pokhara into the heart of Nepal's living heritage.
This unique circuit connects two historic worlds. It begins in Gorkha, the birthplace of modern Nepal, where King Prithvi Narayan Shah started the unification of Nepal from his hilltop palace. From the royal history, we take you deep into the Annapurna foothills to live with the Gurung community in Nepal's four most celebrated model homestay villages - Ghale Gau, Bhujung, Sirubari and Lwang Ghalel.
This is not a trekking package. This is a Live Like a Local experience. You will sleep in traditional stone houses with slate roofs, eat organic food cooked by your homestay mother on a wood fire, wear traditional Gurung dress, sing in Rodhi Ghar, taste millet wine, pick tea leaves, and hear stories of honey hunters from the elders.
All four villages are government-awarded model villages, community-managed, and part of responsible tourism. Over 70% of your payment goes directly to the host families and community development fund for schools and health posts.
If you want to see the Himalayas and also feel the warm heart of Nepali hospitality,
