A representative from our agency will be waiting outside the Trivuwan International airport (TIA) according to your flight schedule to transfer you to the Nagarkot hotel. On the way you’ll take to visit the ancient Changu Narayan Temple is a UNESCO World Heritage site. It is widely celebrated as Nepal’s oldest Hindu temple; date back 4th century stone and wood art. A short briefing will be done about the trip once you have checked in. Stay overnight at Kathmandu hotel.
Today morning you’ll drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara. A road trip from Kathmandu to Pokhara via Manakamana combines spiritual exploration with breathtaking Himalayan nature. Spanning roughly 200 km along the Prithvi Highway, the 6 to 7-hour journey treats travelers to terraced hills, vibrant river valleys, and a cable car ascent to the sacred Hindu temple Manakamana. Stay overnight at Pokhara/Sarangkot (1600 m).
Early morning explore the beautiful sunrise over Annapurna mountain range from Sarangkot. After breakfast you'll drive to Jomsom (Mustang). A road trip from Pokhara to Jomsom is a spectacular 170 km, 7-8 hour off-road adventure that takes you from lush subtropical valleys into the arid, windswept landscapes of the Mustang region. The route passes through the world's deepest gorge. Here, you can hunt for Shaligrams—ancient, fossilized black ammonites that Hindus worship as the physical form of Lord Vishnu. This region rewards you with striking, arid desert landscapes backed by spectacular views of the Dhaulagiri and Nilgiri mountain ranges. Today morning you'll drive 1 hour from Jomsom to Muktinath Temple: situated at an altitude of 3,800 meters, this revered site is sacred to both Hindus and Buddhists. The walled complex features 108 icy water spouts (Muktidhara) that cleanse the soul, an ancient monastery, and an eternal natural flame (Jwalamai temple). After you'll drive to Kagbeni Village, this 800-year-old gateway to Upper Mustang is famous for its labyrinth of mud-brick houses, flat roofs, and narrow alleys. It serves as a major Hindu pilgrimage site where devotees perform Shraddha (ancestor worship rites) at the confluence of the Kali Gandaki and Jhong rivers. After you'll drive to Beni (Tatopani). The road trip from Jomsom to Tatopani (Beni) covers a 49 km stretch of the rough but spectacularly scenic Kali Gandaki corridor. The journey takes you from the windswept, arid landscapes of Lower Mustang down into lush sub-tropical river valleys. On the way you'll stop Tatopani Hot Springs: The ultimate reward. "Tatopani" translates to "hot water," and the village features natural, mineral-rich hot spring pools right by the river, perfect for soothing sore travel muscles. Stay overnight at Beni.
A road trip from Beni to Pokhara is an incredibly scenic, 75 km journey that takes about 2 to 3 hours. The route beautifully transitions from rugged Himalayan gorges to the lush, subtropical valleys of the Annapurna region. This classic Pokhara itinerary beautifully combines serene nature, rich culture, and breathtaking Himalayan views. A typical day trip flows sequentially from the hills to water, offering a highly memorable and well-rounded experience. Afternoon you'll take to Fewa lake for boating. You'll glide across emerald waters while enjoying panoramic views of the Annapurna range, capture reflections of the iconic Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) peak, and visit the sacred Tal Barahi Temple situated on a small, forested island in the center of the lake, this iconic two-tiered pagoda is dedicated to Goddess Barahi (an incarnation of Durga). It is the most important religious monument in Pokhara.
A Pokhara to Kathmandu road trip via Bandipur (Pahad ki Rani) offers the perfect blend of lakeside adventure, rich Newari culture, and breathtaking Himalayan scenery. The entire journey covers roughly 200 km, breaking the tedious Prithvi Highway drive into smaller, more scenic sections. Leaving the busy Prithvi Highway, you will take a winding, uphill road to Bandipur. The contrast between the dusty highway and the quiet, vehicle-free cobbled streets of the village is striking.Newari Heritage: Bandipur is famous for its exceptionally well-preserved 18th-century Newari architecture, intricately carved wooden windows, and relaxed atmosphere. By the evening you'll arrive in Kathmandu city. Stay overnight at Kathmandu.
