A trek into Humla, Nepal's most northern and isolated district, following an ancient salt-trading and pilgrimage route to the Nepal–China border. The route crosses Nara La pass (4,620m) to the border town of Hilsa, then turns into the rarely visited Limi Valley — home to century-old Buddhist villages such as Til, Halji and Jang, largely untouched by modern development — before crossing Nyalu La, the trek's highest point, on the return.

Above the deep river valley via Muchu, with views of the emerald Humla Karnali, to Tumkot and its Mota Gompa.
A gradual ascent over increasingly stony, isolated terrain past Pani Palbang to Yari.
A steep climb to Nara La (4,620m), marked with prayer flags and views of Mount Kailash (6,638m) in Tibet, then a rocky descent to the pilgrim border town of Hilsa.
