A compact fly-in/fly-out version of the Lhasa–Everest Base Camp circuit, run as a small-group trip for closer, more personal care. After Lhasa's Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple and the Sera/Drepung monasteries, the route drives the Friendship Highway via Gyantse and Shigatse to reach the north face of Mount Everest before returning the same way.
Kathmandu → Lhasa → Gyantse → Shigatse → Shegar → Everest Base Camp/Rongbuk → Shigatse → Lhasa → Kathmandu.
Fly Kathmandu–Lhasa (about 1hr 15min) and transfer to your hotel.
Visit Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple and Barkhor Bazaar.
Visit Sera Monastery, known for its afternoon monk debating courtyard, and Drepung Monastery, once home to thousands of monks.
Drive via Yamdrok Tso Lake to Gyantse to see the Kumbum Stupa and Pelkhor Monastery, then continue to Shigatse.
Visit Tashilhunpo Monastery, seat of the Panchen Lama, before driving to Shegar.
Drive via Rongbuk to Everest Base Camp (5,200m) for close-up views of the North Face, then return to Shigatse.
Drive back to Lhasa.
Drive to the airport and fly back to Kathmandu or your onward destination.
