Tilicho Lake, at 4,920m, is among the highest lakes in the world, and the trail up to it — from Shree Kharka to the base camp — is genuinely demanding, with avalanche activity audible from the trail and herds of blue sheep and yak along the way. This 14-day route follows the classic Annapurna Circuit as far as Manang before branching off to the lake and returning the same way.
