Also known as the Annapurna Sanctuary Trek, this eleven-day route through the Annapurna Conservation Area is one of Nepal's most popular treks. It passes through Gurung villages and thick rhododendron forest along the Modi River before reaching the natural amphitheatre of Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m), ringed by Machhapuchhre, Annapurna, Gangapurna, Dhaulagiri and Himchuli.
