Nar Phu lies in the most remote corner of the Manang district, accessible only with a restricted-area permit. The valley holds two ancient villages — Nar and Phu — settled by Tibetan traders around the 10th century, with ruined lookout towers, the centuries-old Tashi Lakhang Monastery, and a trail that climbs to the 5,322m Kang La Pass before rejoining the classic Annapurna Circuit at Ngawal.
Kathmandu → Jagat → Dharapani → Koto → Meta → Phu → Nar → Kang La Pass → Ngawal → Manang → Pisang → Chame → Dharapani → Jagat → Kathmandu.
